Fontan Ixtapa Hotel - Ixtapa (Guerrero)

Spoiler alert, it's worth it!

The beachfront location is fine with clean waves and vibrant surroundings. The staff is friendly, and the food was decent with tasty personal omelettes at breakfast. Despite the need for more lounge chairs and occasional long lines at bars, the overall experience was enjoyable with lovely ocean views and engaging activities.

The hotel had a central location to Manzanillo bay snorkeling. I liked the room with a king size bed, the bed was comfortable. The staff was superfriendly and really helpful throughout the day...

the breakfast was the best, we would stay there again. liked our stay in this great hotel with the reasonably good staff. the location was particularly good, to the ixtapa area, in the picturesque area. you can find tequila y salsa brava right at the property to a have lunch. try excellent dishes served at the a la carte restaurant.

A family getaway with mixed vibes

The beach was fine, and my kids loved the pool activities, letting us bond over fun in the sun.

The wait times were ridiculous, and the room felt too cramped and noisy, especially at night.

I liked the attention, cause first when i arrived they gave me a room where the a/c was not working ok! but they immediately changed me the room without any problem!

I think they should have a little more food variety, but ok!

Excellent service, beautiful beach.

the hotel is well located and has wonderful staff. the food is good and the drinks are generously served. the price was very good.

smoking is allowed in the beachfront restaurant. there is no designated smoking section, so you can be surrounded by smokers.

Good place for families

We brought our daughter who loved the towel art made by housekeeping and the beach was nice for family walks. Staff were really friendly making me feel welcomed and the food was decent with a nice variety, especially the omelettes in the morning.

It wasn't cheap, but still acceptable for a family vacation.

The hotel needs a total renovation, everything is outdated.

During the first night the front desk telephoned our room at 1:50 am and demanded we come down to the front desk because they over charged our visa 10 times the correct amount. Scared the hell out of us since we we have daughter going to have a baby anytime. They could not credit my visa correctly for 3 days after standing at the front desk. When they phoned I said why can this not be done tomorrow morning and they said no. Also the room smelled of mold and mildew.

Didn't like anything, except omelettes.

The location was excellent, right on the beach and in the center of Ixtapa.

Unfortunately the Hacienda restaurant (a la carte) was't open at the time we stayed at the hotel but certainly nothing to complain about.

The staff was attentive and efficient, especially in assisting with my work needs. My room was clean and had a fantastic ocean view, along with good amenities including well-functioning air conditioning and a reliable refrigerator.

Dining options could improve.
